Magic the Gathering - Avatar: The Last Airbender - Prerelease - 14/11/12 - 6:00PM - Day1

Earth, Wind & Fire heeds your call! At our Avatar: The Last Airbender - Prerelease.  Join your favorite characters for new adventures while learning to master the elements and bend Magic with several new Mechanics to play with. 

What is Prerelease?:
Prerelease occurs one week before the sets offical releases in Sanctioned LGS's and lets players have their first taste of the new set!

How does it work?:
Prerelease is a LIMITED format, known as SEALED. This means that, at the event, each player will receive a prerelease kit (While Supplies last) containing: 6 packs of the new set, a promo card that can be any rare or mythic from the set (stamped with the date of the prerelease), a spindown life-counter dice with the sets logo, and a handful of cardboard counters/tokens.

Each player will build a 40 card (minimum) deck out of the cards they open from the Kit and play. This is great for new and returning players, and a great way to meet the local community, in a fun and casual event. Prerelease is run as a SWISS style tournament, meaning that each round you will be matched with someone who has a similar win/loss record to you. Prereleases  Last between 3-5 rounds. ( 3h-5h ).

What you do you need?:

At minimum, You'll need Yourself! We do however recommend that you bring:

• 40 Sleeves to protect your deck and make shuffling easier.
• A playmat to play on. 
• Dice to track counters. 
• It's highly recommended to download the MTG Companion App, and set up an account, as the event will be run on Companion.

We have all these products available for purchase in store in need be.

What if we run out of Prerelease Kits?

Unfortunately this does happen sometimes as there are only so many to go around. LGS's don't always get as many kits as they would like. But worry not, in the rare case that this happens. All remaining Kits will be randomly distributed and any remaining player without a kit will receive 6 Play Boosters to Build a deck with. (In line with Wizard's new guidance on popular pre-releases)
